That is a big mistake - Chris has given alot to the Essex team durin his time here and to cut him in his final year is not right.

Well if they were thinking about doing the right thing they f@(ked that up. Why would you get rid of a vet. He is a good player both offence and defence. And like was stated it was his last year. If it was a fan choice It should of been Demier.
I have heard the reason for their choice was that Chris is leaving for the RCMP...

Wouldn't you rather keep an 18 year old as a 6th or 7th defenceman than an overager? Gotta think about the future a little bit. Good decision. Barr knew it was coming a month ago and isn't that upset about it. He has a great future ahead of him in the RCMP.
