The only players who would quit are the guys who want to run their own show, and that's not going to happen. So the team is better off without them.

I can't believe we're still having this argument. The man has 6 league and 2 Provincial championships in 7 years. He must be doing something right.

Great spellin....You PLUG!
I'm thinkin Davis has never played the Level of Hockey that Tony has. Davis has done NOTHING with a Team But WALK OUT on them when they are doing S#!ty(Leamington) So i Guess the Test will be Wensday night....Oh WAIT then will Have The Walkin's From the North in the Playoffs. Because we all know they would Never Be Their if It was A TRUE PLAY OFF FORMAT! Just because the North DID a WHOLE LOT OF CRYING AT A MEETING TO GET IT a SPLIT LEAGUE so the North had a Chance to make it into the Playoffs. And they also Cried enough so they didn't have to Travel as Much due to INSUFFICIENT FUNDING. Lol
ALSO TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT U RIDE ON WHEN U TRAVEL... NICE SCHOOL BUS...LMAO!!!

I don't think it has anything to do about truth me-n-u, I think everyone's trying to tell you that you need to pull your head out of your ass and shut the hell up! You babble way too much on the forum about nothing! And before you go teasing someone about their spelling, maybe you should check yours, along with your grammar BEFORE you post it! You just made yourself look even dumber again!

Greasemonkeychic - you are so right. One problem. Me-nu doesn't have any ass left to pull his head out of. He keeps laughing it off at everyone else's expense.

hey me-n-u, you claim Davis left cause leamington was doing ****ty, you're partially correct moron, his situation in leamington was ****ty.....Davis has to run his own show, not be a stool pigeon to the leamington brass.....that was the key factor in his departure..

you should be bonger4life dude.... cuz you must be smokin something to defend Davis, he may have had pressure from the above brass but that is how it works ...the bosses get to tell the employees what to do!! and when Davis decided to leave (his choice to do so) he leaves without warning of him being unhappy and says "I'm done as of .....now!! that is totally NO CLASS

no one from essex should be arguing about any of this davis talk. you guys just got over the argument of iaquitter leaving lasalle to come back to play for you and now Davis comes back for a good reason and you're bashing him....a bunch of hypocrits

Well, I happen to know Davis warned the Flyer brass early in the season that a number of things needed to be addressed or he was out, so when it didn't happen ...................................

the playoff format was a agreed to by a majority (7-2) and it is pretty fair. Is BR and the sharks really that much better than the best that comes out of the North???I think not.

br is good but wheatley is crap, i'd say essex is obviously the best in the league and BR dresden and wally are all in a tight second with everyone else rounding out the league....wheatley is aweful and the comets are getting better, and as for mooretown and blenheim they are right there as well......and alvi shouldnt be in the league

This year Alvy shouldn't be in the league, last year it was Dresden, the year before it was Blenheim, the year before it was Wally...it never stops. It seems the majority of the whining here comes from the SOUTH when it comes to who should be in, and who should be out. The SOUTH whines about the playoff format, even though it fattens their wallets as well.

But I digress...

Going back to whether Davis is better than Tony. They are both very good motivators. They both know what they are doing in this game, even so far as much to change their coaching skills to meet the "needs" of the modern sucky attitude of a small majority of today's kids. Sometimes a good coach can end up with a team full of individuals who have had excellent success, and still end up with a crappy team. Does any one remember the NY Rangers when they had a boatload of superstars, but finished out of playoffs for a couple years? How does last year's coach of the year follow up with a horrible year? Is that all the coach? Or is it a team of unreachable players who just don't care? All I know is that it takes a lot to be a coach at this level - a lot of sacrifice, love of the game, and commitment. BOTH Davis and Piroski show these traits. Perhaps the Blades coach is starting to see the tip of this iceberg, too.
