Well it was a close call.... What happened was when he jumped up to catch the puck he came down with one foot inside the blue line and one outside. So I think and belive Brady made the right call.
This was anybodys game.

well thats a biased opinion me-n-u since we know you are an essex fan.

i was sitting right behind the belle river bench and i saw two feet outside the zone when he caught it, AND he pulled the puck back from behind himself.

nobody is perfect, Brady blew the call, but it was one hell of a game
-would love to see the game tape of the camera guy sitting in the box.

it was a very good game. the playoffs will be exciting to see, whether it's BR or Wheatley. Zelko was shaky in net. I think the game would have had a different outcome if robitaille was in net. The tribute was great, the attendance was awesome. All around, that night was great!

I agree that the outcome would have been different if Zelko wasn't in net, but you have to admit, that boy is improving fast! He's usually in net for the crapy teams and couldn't hold his own, but that was BR and he did awesome! I'm always first to point out his faults, but I think that kid deserves some praise, last couple of games he's done damn good. I never thought he had any potenial, but now...I think he's proving me wrong. Good job Zelko!!! happy.gif Start and concentrate on the rebounds though, blocking the intial shot isn't enough. Be the red engine! happy.gif

thanks =)
i got the information i needed..
he was offside but all games have bad calls... it sucks but just how it goes sometimes.. if it was the other way around nothing would be different..except we wouldnt break our doors.. happens in hockey.. nothing to do about it now.. everyone knows it was agareat game and both teams worked very hard

What a great game to watch,i think the score would of been the same with either goalie in net for essex.On the other hand br's goalie did not have a good game,he is very good but not last night to many soft goals,br;s d was bad to.

that's awesome how the BR coaches and players can verbally abuse the officials after the game like raving lunatics and not even get a 2 minute minor and yet Piroski gets a year suspension for verbally abusing the offcials, the OHA is something special aren't they, oh and I forgot to add about the door being smashed leading to the ice and hallway light covers that were broke as well. Mr. Ladds, where are you and your team of forensic investigators now???

Actually it was ruled that there was no physical contact involved in the altercation. Tony's suspension was for Verbal Abuse.

It was verbal abuse of an official, first on the ice after the game, then in the hallway/doorway or the refs room, as well Renaud was suspended for the same, verbal abuse of a game official. Get your facts straight missbabyboy, before you assult us with your verbal diarhea!!

Further to that, there were 3 coaches and 2 players who recieved nothing for virtually the same...on ice verbal abuse, which Piroski was initially suspended for 2 games.

For all you people who believe Essex gets preferential treatment from the refs, they get equally non-preferential treatment from the OHA, so suck it up.

Sometimes people mistake referees for favoring essex because of them getting more pp's....the reason they get more pp's is that they posses the puck more during the game and the defensive teams have to take penalties to get them off it. Maybe this lesson of protecting the puck, with good body position, is one of the teachings of piroski that could be used by other teams to beat them. Piroski is no genious he just gets spectacular results, from teaching his players the fundamentals of hockey.
