You seem to forget. Belle River did it and so did Wallaceburg.

But how long ago was that?
Belleriver is a great team and I will not put them down.
Belleriver is probably the only other team in this whole league who would even have a shot at all Ontario!
The only reason the games vs Dresden have not been a blow is because of their goalie!
The only reason they are in the finals is because of the stupid playoff format and that goalie!
It should be BR vs. Essex they know how to play hockey unlike the teams in this league.
I am not the only who thinks that way either.
If BR would have beat Essex out they would beat Dresden and move just as far as Essex.
The only teams this year didn't have a shot in hell!

It's not choking when you lose to teams as good as Alliston and Penetang were in the last 3 years. The only time Essex has "choked" in the last 8 years is when they lost to Dresden in the Great Lakes final in 04. Did Dresden choke when they got swept in the semifinals that year? No. They got beat by a better team. The calibre of hockey is so high after you get out of the league that no one chokes. You get beat by a good team or you beat a good team. That's all there is to it.

We all know the league is not going to change the playoff format so Belle River you need to stop complaining and beat Essex next year to play for the championship

At least all the games with Dresden have been close. Belle River got blew out in a couple. I'm sick of everyone saying that Belle River deserved to be there, I would like to see BElle River and Dresden in a series, and i bet it would be a great series, probably go to 7.

The scores are close but the games aren't actually close. Dresden gets minimal shots on net and the ones they do get aren't actual scoring chances. Both of their goals came on 2 man advantages on Sunday and they were there only real scoring chances of the game. The scores are close because of excellent play by Dresden's tender. I, however, don't care about the playoff format because BR didn't put up much of a fight either. My only argument is that the semi-finals had 800 fans per game and finals is only getting 500. This should be the other way around.

the attendence could be because in the semi's you have two teams that are in each others backyards and in the finals there is an hour drive for Dresden ... last night in Jr B Sarnia vs Strathroy had over 2000 in the old barn in Sarnia ...the place was a rockin !!
