BPW International Nominations Committee members:

With the only eagerness to inform, as we consider very important that you have all the information regarding each candidate's qualifications for office in BPW International. We put this information to consideration of the Committee.

The candidate to 2008-2011 North America & Non-Spanish Speaking Countries of the Caribbean’s Chair, Dra. Yasmín Darwich Darwich, was a member of the National Federation of Business and Profesional Women of Mexico until January 2005. The Federation of Mexico has a National Commission of Honor and Justice to take care of all those subjects that alter the life of the Federation and require special attention to solve any situation. The Commission has a defined procedure to solve each received case. Is documented and analyzed. The Commission looks for the defense of the accused person and finally gives a recomendation to the National Executive Board. In 1987, this commission received a denunciation blaming that Dra. Yasmín Darwich Darwich have altered documents signed by National President C.P. Ma. Guadalupe Martinez Ybarra and have not accepted dispositions and agreements of the National Federation. (probatory Documents: annexed 1, 2 and 3). The lack of Dra. Darwich deserved the expulsion of the Federation, nevertheless, given her youth, the commission decided to give her a second opportunity in order to evolve with honor, conditional to that if she returned to incur a new lack, then she will be expelled.

In 2004, the Commission of Honor and Justice received again an accusation against Dra. Darwich “Lack of the spirit of fraternity and respect that each member commits when enters to a Club" and to transgress the Fracc. I article 29 Chapter Fifth of National Constitution. Inquiries were made again and the case was documented. Given the antecedent of 1987 and that Dra. Darwich did not refute any accusation during more than three months that were granted to her to do so. In January of 2005 the Federation of Mexico retired the right of membership to Dra. Yasmín Darwich Darwich. (probatory Documents: annexed 4 and 5)

We do not want this terrible subject is spread before all the International Federation, nevertheless, we believe its our duty to put it before the Nominations Committee, which without a doubt will handle it of the best way for the BPW International good.
