Response to P-DAY#7 in Frankfurt, part 1 "warm up thursday"

Hi all,

I'll continue with my report on saturday afternoon, after a long night
and short sleep it was time to get back to Frankfurt, which was fleeded
with paneristi from all corners of the world.

I could not resist to make a legendary "Yogi shot"(TM) while approaching Frankfurt:

What a bright saturday afternoon we had - lucky us... Took a daylight pic of the hotel Bristol,
where a few of our guests had their rooms, also the later dinner on that evening was held there.

The Bristol is in cooperation with our main hotel "The Pure".

I parked my car near to the hotel and took a nice walk downtown.
The famous "Alte Oper" - the opera building, a hot spot in Frankfurt:

Right next to it the "Fressgass" - a long shopping and restaurant mile - is starting
where I was about to meet some of our members...

And there you go: J-F, our mate from France. Finally "real face to face".
Good to have you aboard, thanks for joining our meeting!

Well, after a long night some of us needed liters of coffee and food.
Here our flipper Patrick was doing a "big bite" performance That gold thing is looking good on your wrist BTW!
The question is just: will you keep it or flip it? Hahaha!

Our next point in the programme was a visit at one of the ADs in Frankfurt.
Jewellery Rüschenbeck was hosting a Panerai exhibition, which was set up on
that weekend we had our P-DAY in town. Soon the basement room was filled up
with our "posse"

Black beauties:

...more erm... "beauties"

Surely a future star in collectors' scene: the ceramic chrono!

Martin, Asi and Markus were blocking the Ferrari displays

...while another star was placed at the opposite corner of the room: "platinum whirlwind":

Mr. Kajehamid, manager of the Jewellery store (right) next to Mr. Wanka, editor in chief of the german watch magazine "Uhren-Magazin" with his daughter.

The sun was not down yet but it was time for Champagne! Chippy, Frank and Gary - cheers, mates!

...more champagne:

...and more watches - the new Regatta chrono:

German Panerai collectors lined up:

Daniel, Torsten and Esther:

Did I mention that ESPN was in the house too? BTW: great shirt, Martin!!!

Mr. Geller from Panerai / Richemont Northern Europe took over the "official part" and welcomed our group. Thanks to Panerai for setting up this at the local dealer!

A strap queen and a strap king - her RH Simona and his RH Aurelio!

Aurelio, Gary and Kanellos next to the new chrono models:

(to be continued... one more will come soon!)

Cheers,
Volker
