| I would hope to not hear a word from Portland about diving when not once did we dive .....but holy cow Ross was ridiculous! The better team did not win tonight. As much as this hurts me I truly believe Spoke is a better team than Portland. Proud of our D tonight especially Topping. They did what they needed to. |

Well Shinny is one of only two players sitting this year with emblishment penalties. So we will see how easy he flops to the ice in this series |

That could be said for this series or for the past 5 years. I know our guys are playing their hearts out but Portland is just more skilled. Pretty surprised Carruth is playing as well as he is. In a realistic train of thought we know the series is over. When the team couldn't put one away in OT it worried me. I guess this goes to show you what happens when a team buys hard at the trade deadline and one tried to make a move that wasn't to realistic in happening. When will it be the time the Ams make a true run for the cup? It's not going to be next year that's for sure with the players we are losing. I understand Tory's thought process as an owner who wants to have a decent team every year instead of selling the farm. He obviously knows that he will make more money by doing this because he won't have a huge drop in attendance when the lean year or two comes. I respect him for that but I also wonder if the fans will ever be rewarded for our loyalty with a run at the cup. Sure I am happy with all the amazing success the Ams have had the past 6-7 years and yea a bit spoiled. I just know that its tough seeing a team around for almost 25 years and never a WHL Championship. It is also worth noting that the past couple years the boys have stumbled toward the end of the regular season and weren't peaking at the most important part of the year. I know this sounds like a lot of complaining and being ungrateful but its more of frustration and disappointment. Maybe the boys will treat us to at least one more game this year! |

i don't think you can really look at next year as a loss already. guys leave and others step up. on paper it may look like a leaner year, but the way things have been going the past 5-6 years, it won't be the first time we should technically be somewhat down. Look at 2010. Who would have pick the Ams to make it to the final? If i remember correctly, that year was supposed to be a rebuild year.
This year, Portland is just flat out better. It sucks, but it's the truth.
Hopefully we can make Portland work for it and come back to Tri for a game 5.
