Why? Because playing hockey is much more important than getting a good education?
How many of these kids will actually make it further? Let's be realisitic...if you were drafted in the 6th round or higher it means only one of two things;
a) It was a favour, organized by dad / asssitant coaches / coach / advisor behind the scenes. Someone knows someone amd called in a favour. It's OK to admit it, it happens all the time...(see Gilmore / NF goalie selected / etc). That's the way it is in hockey...no big deal.
b) Someone threw a dart at a list...
But to come here and say the OHL is the only thing that matters is short-sited and, frankly...dumb.
However, it appears obvious by your comments that education probably doesn't run in your family and doesn't matter much anyways.
But that's OK to...the world needs burger-flippers and Walmart greeters.
