The kids can still go to the camp if they want but stick within the 48 hour rule for sure! And NEVER play an exhibition or other game otherwise.

They can even go longer if they pay their own way, but your right, no exhibition games.

4:14/4:51, that applies to D1 only. there have been kids that play in the O and still end up at D3 schools.

as with every NCAA eligibility rule you can always go thru an appeal process. but yeah playing in the O kills you D1 eligibility......providing you're one of about 25 OJHL kids they want.

You must be someone who has a son, who at this time isn't ready for the OHL. Stay positive, tell him to keep working hard.

Both the OHL and the NCAA are great options, and some players are best suited to go one way or the other.

But your bitterness could really be harmful in the long run.

Just saying....

I have no idea when you can or cannot take the test, however the fact that test results where released to school and parents on March 23rd, may say that your BSing.

op, the kid moves to Texas when he's 17. Texas is not an OHL drafting territory, it belongs to the WHL. so needless to say there's no O scouts in Texas einstein. he was effectively a free agent available to the WHL.

btw, he played in the NAHL and USHL where the NHL scouts took a pass on drafting him. next year you can enjoy watching him play for the Binghamton Senators and Elmira Jackals.
