Question should be asked after June 15th, I believe that is when the NCAA will have permision to talk to players and parents without any rules being broken.

CEDAR RAPIDS – Anthony DeAngelo has decided his hockey future, and it doesn’t include Cedar Rapids.
The highly regarded Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman has become ex-Riders defenseman with his Tuesday decision to join the Sarnia Sting of the Major Junior Ontario Hockey League next season. DeAngelo confirmed his choice via Facebook.
Anthony DeAngelo
DeAngelo was the youngest player in United States Hockey League history this season when he played the first month as a 14-year-old. He played in only 28 games because of a broken kneecap suffered in a game in January.
A Boston University commitment, DeAngelo – from Sewell, N.J. – will forego college hockey since Major Junior players are paid a small stipend. Scouts believe he could be a first-round National Hockey League pick in three years if he continues his development.
A message left with DeAngelo was not immediately returned.

No surprise most teams figured he would go to the OHL instead of spending 4 years in the USHL which could end up hurting his development. He was the most likely of the US players to come to the O. |

.....from the bio of Hines Ward in Wiki;
When he came out of college it was discovered that Ward was missing an ACL in his left knee, which he lost during a bicycle accident during childhood.[3][4] According to a Yahoo! Sports article, Ward broke his kneecap in the fourth grade and the doctors never accounted for the ligament.[5] This may have affected his position in the NFL draft. He received his bachelor's degree in consumer economics from UGA, where he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
Previous poster doesn't know jack shit about broken knee caps and the long-term prospects for kid. |

You people are thick. I simply provided an example of someone who broke their knee cap, yet has had a very successful athletic career, in a very demanding sport.
The previous idiot poster claimed De Angelis was done due to his broken kneecap.
