The OEM tweeter upgrades are worth the money. I chose to install Sony Xplodes in the front doors. This couldn't be easier. Circuit City sells the plug-in adaptors and the speaker mounting holes match exactly. It took about 20 minutes for both sides. No cutting or other modifications needed. The tweeter are a little more challenging but with the expertise on this board, you are in capable hands.
Others have gone beyond simply changing the speakers but for my needs, the speaker change was exactly what I needed.
