I wouldn't worry about it at all. The spring would probably not fail in over 3,000,000 miles of driving and shifting.
The sound is perfectly normal for a spring, and not always reproduceable. Remember jumping on your bed when you were a kid? That "boing" sound you heard were the springs in the matress/box-spring, and is the same concept of what you're hearing in your CRV. Nothing at all to worry about. | |
