The fanfic posted at The Gehr is plenty serious. There are sections I have not linked to the main site because of disturbing images and graphic (though not gratuitous--it is important to the story) violence. You have to ask me to see those. It's not very Disney any more....

But what do you expect from a story about the Huns? I keep plugging it only because I want people to know Shan Yu's side of the story. Honest. It's my mission of the moment. You'll like him (or at least understand where he's coming from) if you visit.

There are plenty comedies and light-hearted romance stories out there as it is. I'm thrilled that there will be a new addition to the mellow and dramatic gender of fan fiction. And if you have Mulan and Shang actually *not* getting together for once, you can be guaranteed flowers and candy curtousey of me. :)
