Hey, it's mentally healthy to keep a strong love for fantasy and art and things considered childlike (which is very different from childish. And if you don't know what I mean, visit Shan Yu's Page of Shameless Lust (created by Kat).

If you visit the Guest Book (Hey, be sure to sign!), you'll find an entry by my husband who admits an undying crush on Jessica Rabbit! And he's not the only "adult" who loves an animated person. I think sometimes that a particular character just strikes a chord. And some of them just have what animal behaviorists like to call "super releasers": exaggerated characteristics that are supposed to elicit a particular response from members of their own species! (Check out the melons on Jessica, and that waist to hip ratio! Why do you think Barbie looks the way she does?)

Nope. Crushes on animated characters are not just for teenagers. And you know what? When you're in your 30's, you will probably still be developing crushes on animated characters. It's all part of the fun of never growing up. Woohoo!!

Those of you who agree with TianNing, do visit my site and either email me or sign the Guest Book and tell me the animated character who rouses your, er, passions. I am constructing a page dedicated to these characters, and I'll be putting the percentage of votes for each character on the page.

PS to those of you who are younger - which is just about everybody on this forum, including TianNing! - it would be helpful if you would tell me a bit about the character or give me a URL where I can get images and info. I am woefully behind in animation, I'm discovering, stuck in my Disney mold, and some of these people I've never *heard* of! (However, they sure do look good...)
