Yea, i saw that too. I always role my eyes when i find that there's gonna be a sequal. I hate sequals. The Aladdin sequals and the Pocahonats sequals were really really bad. The Lion King II was actually really good and the Little Mermaid one looks really cute too, so it could go either way. It's kind of ironic how Ariel wanted to be human and now her daughter wants to be a mermaid. well g2g bye!! BTW, does anyone think there should be a Mulan sequal??

If they make a Mulan 2 It'd better be at least close to as good as the first one, and I hope they finish a Mulan 2 soon if they're making one It better not take 10 years like the little meremaid

Actually, "Return to the Sea" has been the buzz of Disney fans for a couple of years now. The reason they didn't make a Little Mermaid sequel sooner is probably because of the TV series (which originally aired 1991-1994), and then the re-release of the original LM a couple of years ago.
As for quality, I think that most sequels could be described as "fair" or even better (take Toy Story 2, for example). The ones that are bad are mostly because of bad writing and bad songs, and not so much because of bad animation. The exceptions are "Return of Jafar" and the two most recent "Belle" videos. And that is because they were originally meant to be part of a television series. "Return of Jafar" was actually the first 5 episodes of the Aladdin TV series, spliced together and marketed as a movie. And the Belle videos are made up of a few episodes of a proposed "Beauty and the Beast" animated TV series that never aired...it was nixed in favor of the currently-running "Sing Me a Story with Belle."
Personally, I thought "King of Thieves" was very good, and "Enchanted Christmas" to be beautiful...although the latter suffered from a couple of yucky songs (as did "Simba's Pride").
Now, as for a Mulan sequel, there will undoubtedly be one (I estimate it will come out sometime between 2001 and 2005, or if a TV series, even sooner). As long as they spend just a LITTLE bit of time on writing, the songs, and refining it, it shouldn't be THAT bad.

UNDOUBTEDLY really??

That is so cool but could ya be a little more vague? I mean anywhere from 2001 to 2005 that for me is any where from 8th grade until I graduate well if I'm lucky I'll grad. then. But wht do you think it'll be series or movie sequel?
I've got a cloudy crystal ball, Crystal

Well, sorry I can't be more specific, but that is the range that Disney sequels seem to come out: from 1 year after the original's release (as in the Hercules sequel), to 6 years (as in Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas)...that is, of movies that were produced since 1991 (Disney didn't begin making video sequels until 1994--by then Little Mermaid was already 5 years old).
The year 2000 falls into that 1-6 year range for Mulan, but I have yet to hear of any Mulan works in production, so I doubt if one will be released any time this year. But take heart--4 of the 5 movies made before Mulan had a sequel out in less than 4 years...so based on that, the odds are 80% that a Mulan sequel will be out by the end of 2002. And your guess is as good as mine about whether it will be a television series or a sequel movie!
