Some of you know I lost a lot of weight on a low carb way of eating. I'm thinking that would work for my lovely Dovey as well:

Anyway I know this will be a more expensive way to feed her but I think it may be necesary for her health. Trouble will be that right now they all eat the same dry food..Purina Fit&Trim plus scraps and also some stuff I make for them usually rice with scraps. I've already stopped the rice with scraps as I know this is not good for her. Now the challenges will be to stop my husband from rewarding her with carbs and finding a nutritious diet she can eat that I can afford. I'll probably have to take up the food bowls which are down all the time for them and just feed once a day.

My dog is still fat. She's so snuggly loveable, tho.

The vet told me to give her carrot sticks as a snack instead of other stuff. She needs to get down to around 80 pounds.

Dovey and I have re-committed to her weight loss. Well she really doesn't know what's going on except she gets less food and mommy takes her for a walk each morning. She likes our special time together.

Vet says it's perfect. Yep, she's healthy as a horse and almost as big as one.

daily and she is being fed less food! I don't see a change in her shape. lol
