going to tell me that shots on goal has that much to do with QUALITY/MEASUREABLE chances to score? Surely you can't be that unknowledgeable. Don't give me the "gotta be on net to go in" crap because that had nothing to do with the first goal last night...or the second for that matter in all probablity. The # of quality saves Groenhyde (sp) had to make was substantially greater last night than Priestner had to make...that was the fact I stated and I'm sticking to it. Friday was a different issue...we will get schooled several times this year, but we will also be much closer to a 0.500 hockey team than we were last year...and will definitey beat the Bloozers several times this season.
Forsberg is a very intelligent fighter. He has chosen his opponents well in the past and it is a certainty that he would rather "establish his reputation" in the exhibition season when it means less than nothing. He will still fight in the regular season as he knows the value of a well-timed scrap, but it will be very strategic when he does and then, he will only be gone for 5 while he will probably draw the extra two more than 1/2 the time. Should have seen him splatter a couple of the Bloozers last night...that's what you will see much more of from him than game misconducts.
