I am wondering if anyone knows why I am getting a message which states the MTM.MTMCDAI.386 is missing? It also says that I may have uninstalled a program without using an uninstall program. When I start my computer a message comes up under a DOS window saying I have a choice to either enter setup or press the F1 key to continue. When I press the F1 key I receive the message above about the file and to press enter to continue. When I press the enter key Windows starts. The other problem I am having is that I can not shut the computer down without turning off the power. If I go into the msconfig utility the lower end of the screen has about 60 lines with "run =" on it and nothing else. The last line says run = uninstallms.exe. I believe this may be related to my the computer not shutting down. Just before Windows starts I can see the MS-DOS window come up for a breif moment - probabley executing something. This might have something to do with my problem. I sure would welcome any information you have that could help me solve my problem. I bought this computer from a local shop where they build new computers and trade used ones........can you guess mine is a used computer.
Thank you
MTM\CDAI.386 is involved with your mitsumi cd rom drivers, and that the registry has encountered an error or conflict with that 386 system file. Try reinstalling the mitsumi drivers and you should be A-OK.
I have the same problem on an older machine & I don't have any of the software that was used to build my computer. The computer was given to me. Did you find anything that helped you? I was wondering if I need to go to Mitsumi's website to reinstall the driver but that machine is no longer on an internet connection so I have to copy the file & save it to a cd before being able to install it. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, T...
