How do I resize an image, and then get it to display in the area above my banner on an ITW message board...similar to how you put the image of the ring on your board Sooth?

For resizing the image, you need to either:

1) make the image file smaller by using a graphics package and respecifying the size of the image, or

2 make the big file display smaller by setting constraints in the <IMG SRC=""> command. The format is:

<IMG HEIGHT="##" WIDTH="##" SRC="http://address.suffix">

The number signs stand for the number of pixels. Keep in mind that a large file is still a large file, even if you are displaying it small using this code. That means that a giant image constrained to the size of a postage stamp will still have the load time of a giant image.

As for the image of the ring on Sooth's board - it's *supposed* to appear below the banner behind the text on the left side of his heading. You must be using Netscape, which doesn't cope with the code he used and throws the image up in the left hand corner instead. If you really want the code for doing that, you can use "View Source" and strip it directly off of Sooth's page. Only people on Netscape will see your image in the upper corner though. For example, since I'm on Outlook Express, I'll still see your image below the banner.

Make sense?

Sorry for jumping in there Sooth. Hope you don't mind.
