Just ignore the existence of Netscape, or issue a warning on the entry page to your site that if the viewer doesn't have IE he might as well sell his PC and buy a GameBoy instead. You could even provide a link to MSN.com so that the poor blighters could download IE for their very own.
Unfortunately I do have friends who own Macs. And I'm not sure if they have IE. But I sure will put the "This page is best viewed with IE at such and such resolution" notice up.
I could add "It looks pretty crappy on Netscape", but it's not that bad for my site. The kids site looks like a nightmare though.
was supposed to resolve most of the problems with incapatability between coding for the two browsers. If people can't be bothered to switch to IE, they should at least update their NetScape.
I didn't download the latest version exactly because I wanted to check what it looked like in the old one. But the "this site was made for IE" note will certainly be included.
