One word that I find extremely cute is "cuca", but you'd be hard pressed to find a latina who feels the same - it's vulgar.
My wife (peruana extrema) and I have a cover term we use - "cuy". It really means guinea pig, which is small and warm and cute...and, in Peru, they EAT them, so it also has a rather culinary definition.
