Hello Rapid Ross:
I was doing some research and came across a response to the Joe Norwood Book and the Chucking of the Elbow. He interpreted this to mean that Chucking of the elbow is the throwing of the right arm to the right heel.
Since the right arm is to be fully extended before reaching the right knee this would make sense as the elbow must be straight or "Chucked" before impact.Since Joe never spoke to me about the phrase Chucking of the Elbow it's difficult to pinpoint.
Joe did always talk about dropping the right forearm quickly to the right heel. It's a little move. He would say just start the move and hold on and he would say you have to swing below your right knee.
I remember phrases like this as if he told me yesterday not 25-30 years ago.
Hope this helps
