Response to wounded therapists and wounded clients

Hiya Dale! and thank you for sharing this. I have actually been contempating a lengthy response to this excerpt for some days, but wanted to write at least a brief something before heading to the beach for the day. I appreciate the author's insights based on her experience, but have been asking myself if I am perhaps over-sensitised to her use of language in that she is coming from a "them"(trauma clients) v/s "us"(therapists) perspective. For myself, her choice of language could (imho) be interpreted as pathologising of trauma clients in general (in choosing words such as "demanding", "attempts at humiliation", "stubborness" and "ferocity"). Perhaps after a day relaxing at the beach I will read it differently. (Objective truth can prove consistently subjective!) But again, it was good to have it shared here.
Look after you,

Elysha.
