Hi mamasan!
I'm so sorry your message has waited patiently here for such a long time without a response. Re the Olympics yes I went as far as possible in a different direction to escape them and was happily computer-deprived for some time. I think it is because the other Synchrony forum (ie the private forum called Synchrony Retreat) now has 27 members that this public forum has slowed right down to snail-pace and of course that then tends to be self-perpetuating. Please let me know if you would like access to the Retreat. I still plan to keep this public forum open however as it is more immediately accessible for everyone, and I will try to check for any new posts here more often.
Your early TA training years sound great. I would have loved to have trained in a context where my own issues could have been as openly acknowledged. I was trained as a psychologist and the emphasis was on CBT, Gestalt, Narrative therapy, Family therapy (systemic and structural), sandplay, SFBT etc, rather than on the therapist as a whole person. I have managed to successfully unlearn many of the meta-messages this kind of training gave and I would like to think things have changed here since 15 yrs ago but that does not really seem to the the case. Thanks for sharing mamasan and I will write more if you are still around,
Elysha
