Yes I totally agree when I tuned into the "Broken Bow" pilot of Enterprise I was disgusted by the music as well. I'm a young guy, but one that adores most music, but space theme songs need to be orchestrated and epic. Remember the opener from Star Trek 2? That is beautiful music, and even added strange but cool guitar noises in the nebula cloud battle. I mean, this is space, not Starbuck's or Law and Order? Perhaps they should have went techno or like electronica like Orbital, Moby, Aphex Twin, or groups along those lines. It should have been computerized rock with a fast beat for the 21st century! Also, I was wondering how to send in scripts, actually I haven't caught much Enterprise, but I was thinking about following the show more closely and learning the characters and trying to create a good script(with the knowledge of the characters, events, timelines, or something totally creative and different). I saw the ending of the next generation video which showed Jonathan Frakes with hundreds of scripts about him from potential scriptwriters, but it's still something to try. We need to go to outerspace, Mars first! I would happy to have any info you could provide concerning that!

Music and Progression?

January 20 2002, 6:45 PM

I agree with you about the opening themes, and frankly I haven't been too impressed with the show having any different score or theme in the incidental music either . . . until this week. Did anyone else who saw 'Silent Enemy' think that the music theme was a welcome change? Just curious, I loved it it made me really want to pay attention.
