This has been an active Moody Cup Week. Paul R., last years winner is making a move with a 3 pointer at St James. Mr. Heide has another conditional point. His ball was seen to hit the sand along side Lake Moody. His playing partners observed a turtle burying eggs and -- POSSIBLY A GOLF BALL ---
in the sand. Mr Heide is consulting counsil. This one is currently scored as a provisional.

I'm usually the last man to protest anything but I must take exception to my appearance on the "Moody Cup" scoreboard.! This monday, playing St. Joe, I led off our foresome with a perfect drive down the left center of the 14'th ( Moody Hole) fairway. After my partners had all hit (John Stewart did find the lake with his t-ball), I offered to demonstrate the swing I used last year which resulted in a high cut and 8 times into lake Moody. The demo proved accurate as I hit a high Cut into the centrer of the lake. Laughing we continued to play the hole which I in fact made par on. I cannot see how this harmless demonstration be considered a "Moody Cup" point scored.? Were I to be driving in my cart and toss an old ball into the lake would that also be considered a Moody Cup point scored ? Perhaps rules committee would explain.

Any ball that ends up in Lake Moody qualifies as a MCP;so,be careful where you put your balls.

Rules / Awards Committee challenge
May 5 2012, 10:14 AM
This will notify the Committee that a formal protest will be submitted on the Moody Cup scoring decision in question. In the case of Bell v Committee a complete Brief will soon be sent to the Commiissioner's office for proper adjudication. The defense, for the time being, rests...!

As a former Moody cup winner, I must agree with the rules committee that ANY ball hit, rolled, dribbled or even damp in Lake Moody is a Moody cup point! Miss you all and I know you are having a great time!
For the record, these points are not currently posted to Mr Bell's account. Should the Rules Committee decide to award the points, they should notify the Awards Committee so that they may be properly posted.
