I had a little fun today!!!

I was out on my deck today, when I noticed a Jet coming directly at me. It was WAY up in the sky, and only a tiny speck with a small com-trail to my naked eye. I got an idea and ran insid and grabbed my 6" Voyager.

by the time I got outside with my scope the jet had gone overhead, and was now flying away from me, at just a slight angle. I set the spotting scope on the com-trail, and then looked through the eyepiece (25mm) with a 2x Barlow. I grabbed the scope body and quickly followed the com-trail until I found the jet.

Man it was hard to track that thing, but I was amazed at the detail. What was just a speck in the sky looked like I was standing right next to the jet. I was not able to track it very long, as I had to keep the scope moving with the jet as it flew away from me. However in the short time I was able to track it, I could clearly see the row of windows, and could read that it was a South West Airlines Jet. I was amazed how close it looked. It was really cool!!!!
