Which Telescope should I get?

I have $1000 Dollars to blow a new Telescope. I am just wondering if anyone has any opinions on which one I should get. I used to have a Meade 90mm Refractor that I just hated. I was looking into these two Meade models, ETX-90EC, and the ETX-125EC. Has anyone used any of these telescopes before? I really don't want to get burned on buying a piece of junk. I live in pretty dark area with many bright stars. Also if anyone else has any other opinions on other telescopes, I would be happy to hear them. Also, if anyone knows a good place to buy telescopes online at decent prices, that would be Very cool.) Thanks.
