Recently, my 91 accord (160,000)will not start. It will turn over and catch but then it immediately dies like it is not getting enough fuel. The tachometer was acting weird the last day that it ran OK. It was jumping around a little and then acted normal. When you turn the ignition on you can hear the fuel pump engage and a beeping sound under the dash. About a year ago a shop replaced the main relay and the distributor (and coil I think, if included). I have tested the spark plugs and have spark. I replaced the spark plugs and wires a few months ago (that time I had a some oil in the plug wells, a leaky valve cover).
Just on an off chance I got a used relay from a yard. Not the best with electronics, but I didn't think that it was the relay. After it was installed there is no difference. I tested the ignitor and it seems OK but when the resistance is tested between the tho terminals it read much higher than 0.6-0.8 ohms.
What do you think? I think I will make sure tha battery cables are fresh and connected well. Any other suggstions?
