I have found that in certain areas of the country (Ie,IA or NE) when it is warm and i use gas with Ethinol in it, my car will vapor lock. The vapor lock causes the car to just die as if out of gas. I have begun using the higher grade gas and that has solved the problem. The other option is to remove the gas cap, this prevents vapor lock, however, can cause the check engine light to come on as it effects the emissions sensors. Hope this helps! |
