Can you have an OEM polished Pre-V tang buckle brushed and have it look like an OEM brushed version, or is there any difference other than the finish? Which way should the brush marks run?

I've tried..

it, but without great success. Very fine sandpaper or one of those titanium fibreglass pens both do a fair job, but not to the standard of the OEM brushed buckles. In the end I repolished the buckles with a Cape Cod cloth and sent away for the brushed buckles I needed.
If you don't mind a rough job then give it a try..but if you're a perfectionist..Nay nay.

Cheers,
David

Brushing

I've used the Sandflex Sandblock, fine grit. Go in one direction where it's most visible. It's great for brushing polished buckles and brushing out minor scratches on brushed/matte surfaces. One will last you for life.
