UPDATE and PRE-ORDERS: D.O.T./ SEIKO MIL-SUB Project (pics)

Last Month, I announced that Dawn Of Time Watchworks would soon see it's first products in it's custom line in the form of a Mil-Sub Watch Project.

Here are the details that I posted at that time...

"I'm proud to announce that I will soon be releasing the first custom parts production project by D.O.T. Watchworks.

Realizing that there is a lack of MIL-SUB type custom dials available for use in the modification of SEIKO dive watches, I've come out with 4 versions. I am making two versions for use with 4 o'clock...one with logo, and one sterile. I am also producing two versions for use with the 3 o'clock crown...one with logo, and one without.

This brings me to the second part of the project...a full production SEIKO based MIL-SUB watch based on the SKX031 and/or the SKX007.
I am in the process of developping hands and bezel inserts for use with both watches, and I will be offering a full-on MIL-SUB type watch based on the now discontinued SKX031 100M dive watch with screw-down crown. I will be taking pre-orders on a limited run.

Here are the pre-production technical drawings that I have now approved for production... (I have omitted all technical information as well as the name of the manufacturer and all copyright information, but these images are copyrighted!)



The dial is being produced with white colored/green emission Japanese Superluminova for a bright and consistent glow, and all parts are to be top grade. The hands will be molded to my specifications, and will be available nowhere else, and will have matching luminous material. The indices on the dial will be PAINTED on, with white paint backing/framing the luminous material"



Well..I'm proud to say that the project has now become a reality, with dials, original molded hands, bezel inserts, and aluminum chapter rings all currently in the production stage. Here is the approved technical drawing for the bezel insert..



These parts will be available individually, as well as in fully assembled watches based on Seiko's SKX031/033 "sub type" Sport divers with screw-down crown, or Seiko's SKX007 200m diver's watch. These parts will also be available through 10watches.com as components for the Noah Fuller's Tsunami. All to be available by December, with the cost of complete watches being approx $250 for the 031 model, and $275 for the 007 model.

TO CELEBRATE this first collaborative project between dotwatchworks.com and 10watches.com , I will be accepting PRE-ORDERS for the next 10 days, until the 10th of November, at the very special price of USD $175.00 (for 031 model) and USD $200 (for 007 model)
