If Seiko were to ever do this and print "Silicone Escapement" on the dial they would be completely ridiculed.
You all have read the snarky comments from fan boys about the use of plastics in the date changing mechanism.
I can see it now....jokes about breast implants and monster masks.
Montblanc does it and charges a fortune and celebrates.
The Transformer watch was pretty cool. I'll give them that much.
