Response to these type low tables with heaters are less and less used except

going to a traditional Japanese restaurant.
We were probably the only foreigners who had been to that establishment as we were treated like Japanese. Fortunately, my father was fluent in Japanese; spoken, written and reading; which is why we actually got a reservation there in the first place! If I can imagine; we were treated like visiting Samurai happy.gif

I distinctly remember the tables as my younger brother was 6'3" and had a heck of a time squeezing his legs beneath the table...no cavity below!
We had a traditional Japanese diner that would have been experienced by an important Japanese business man.

On my three trips to Japan with my father; I got to see places that I'm sure even most westerners who live there never get to see happy.gif
