I'd still wear a suit or what ever was suited for

the event. I'm talking about breaking the rules on the wrist.
It can be discreetly hidden under a cuff.
I like to break rules, but I wouldn't do so to disrespect any cultures and traditions.

Those guys were listing off "the rules for dress watches".

Has to be white, not black. Has to be thin, no complications, no date, no seconds. etc...

Guidelines for categorization yes I agree, needs some parameters for such.

If wearing non conforming dress watch to a black tie affair is anarchy. Then anarchy it is! lol.
