Response to Here is an eye-opening post that I made previously. Please read>

is not black and white and is very complicated. Gabe also illustrated the
situation quite well. I took a more simplistic side of the arguement,
because I long for the old days.
I still maintain however that if we insisted on domestic made cars
by buying more of them, it would help us in the long run.
The rate at which manufacturing jobs are leaving North America is alarming,
and unless we want to go backwards in terms of our standard of living,
we're going to have to stem this tide.
China basiclly owns the U.S. now. They own trillions in U.S. debt, and have huge cash reserves.
Where do you think they got all the money? Not from service industry types of business,
not from high tech, but from making stuff. Anything from the lowliest plastic piece of crap
to machinery. MANUFACTURING!
Have you noticed that the U.S. doesn't harp on the Chinese about human rights issues anymore?
Or anything for that matter? They're starting to flex their muscles in Asia
and intimidating other countries in the region. Does anyone say anythhing?
Nope....don't want to piss the boss off.
The whole global political dynamic is changing and all because you bought
an import! happy.gif
have a good weekend everybody!
