for some reason it seems to me that the three-way release of automatic chronos in 1969 introduced an entire line of new and "must have" watches that were clearly bigger than the norm. if you look at catalogs from the era and after, you can easily see a trend where smaller watches still dominated, but increasing numbers of larger watches seemed to be offered every year.

What cause the change in preferences? who the heck knows. I blame Eric Estrada. wink.gif
