BTW Pete, Wubi creates and uses a virtual disk. I searched their forum and found no

reference to security issues. It seems to operate as a separate Linux boot not using Windows even though it is installed through windows. I am still researching. I have Linux Mint 11 and Joli OS Unbuntu base installed via WUBI type installs. They both boot separate from Vista on startup. I have not used Vista except once in about 3 weeks.
