It is the 7002-7020 200M diver that transitioned the 6309 729x into the SKX-171.
I've wanted one of these for a long time and finally jumped off the fence when Ramon put this one up( he has since put up a couple more but I think I got the best one so far).
As can be seen, this is a restoration and lume project waiting to happen. I have looked at the dial, with the movement out of the watch and it is in pretty darn good condition; with the exception of the rotten lume. Hopefully, the marker surrounds are not too corroded or I will have to learn how to applied foil to make them look new.
The bezel, case and case back have a lot of wabi but I may leave that as it is.
In spite of the picture; the crystal is perfectly serviceable and will probably stay on the watch.
The movement is clean but needs help...it's running about 4 minutes fast per hour.
I'll have to examine the balance system after I have some beer ![]()
Will take many pictures during the restoration and report back.
I will also try and make some photo comparisons with the 6309-7290...
