I'm doing a little repair and service work on a couple of 4205 divers. One is the smaller lady size and the other two are the 38mm gents size.
This got me thinking I might like one for myself so I went directly to Ramon's chest of marine wonders and grabbed this one...

The picture doesn't do the watch justice; it is in a lot better cosmetic condition than the photo indicates.
The crystal is clear with no scratches(probably polished at some time); the dial and hands are in fair to good condition as far as the lume goes and they all match. I would have to say the bezel is the roughest part but it is more than serviceable and has character.

As is often the case, when Ramon says it runs when shaken but stops...it just means it hasn't bee charged up enough. It was running when I opened the package so I set the time and date then gave it a good hand winding.
It is now on a Ramon Citizen Jubilee bracelet and attached to my wrist. In the 5 hours since I set and wound it, the second hand still hits within the second of atomic time. I say 'within the second' because the 4205 calibre is an indirect seconds movement and it stutters way more than any Miyota I have ever seen. And it isn't just this one; all four of the 4205 watches I have in front of me stutter.
I'll have to talk to Noah Riley and see if he can suggest any remedies.

Pics of the watch on it's new Jubilee and all cleaned up will have to wait until tomorrow...darn camera batteries are all run down(all 8 of them!).

Great catch and I'm envious.

As you may recall I was looking at these last year for my all-purpose holiday watch. Of course the watch that I ended up with was probably better suited to the task so I've no regrets. But one day maybe I'll go looking again for a 4205. Such a fine-looking watch.

If you really want one, Ramon has several up for auction; some are like mine and even run!
The 4205 is likely the same size and fit as the SKX023 you have. With the exception of hand wind capability; I think the 7s26 in yours might be the better calibre though.

I think my total investment of $27CDN including shipping is a very good deal happy.gif
