Skelton is massively underrated IMHO - once he's sorted out his tendency to play horrendous long balls straight through to the opposition goalkeeper, he'll be fine. He's comfortable on the ground, solid-ish defensively and possesses a good shot.
Maybe he's missing that quick rummage behind the Clock End that you promised him..
