When I was recently teaching the kindergarten SOL about maps and map awareness--I was thinking all cars will have a GPS on them when these kids are older and they will not need map skills.
What about telling time with an analog clock--a digital is much easier?
A 7 year old brought a camera to my class room and asked me to take some pictures for her teacher. I looked at the camera that fit in the palm of my hand and said, "But I don't know how to use this camera?"
She immediately showed me where to turn it on and what to push to take the picture.
When I take a picture of my grandchildren, they run over and say, "Can I see?" They may never know the joy of having a roll of film developed and getting the pictures back to discover pictures from 6 months to a year or so ago.
