WELCOME TO
THE APPALACHIAN WOMEN'S ALLIANCE
CLINCHCO CENTER

The Clinchco Center is a visible link between the black and white communities in Dickenson County, Virginia. Its mission is to provide a resource for education, skill development, creative expression, social interaction, and individual and collective empowerment for Clinchco and surrounding communities.

The Appalachian Women's Journal is published by and for women of the mountains. By sharing our thoughts and our dreams, our sorrows and our joys, we hope to gain strength from each other and break down the barriers that isolate us.
