Bob was moved to intermediate care last Thursday night.
This week he has been awake more and responding a little more to commands...move your feet, open your eyes, blink your eyes, etc.
Today P.T. moved him into a sitting position on the side of the bed. He was supported by the two P.T. people.. couldn't do it alone. He opened his eyes real wide and had a little smile on his face. I took in a couple of C.D.'s of classical music today and he was looking around when I started one of them. I put the player in front of him and said, "Bob, can you hear the music?" and he nodded his head. That's the first time I have received that response.
Last night he smiled (just a little movement of his lips) when Susan came into the hospital.
Thank you for the prayers and keep praying for more responses to commands and for a communication system to be established.
Love,
Betty
