Near the bottom, but is this team made up of lots of new faces or did they keep a majority from last year?

Many teams near the bottom seem to change coaches every couple of years. Coach been there awhile?
Kids have fun?
If not for the coaching is the organization(fees, schedules, etc)OK?

This team has alot of new faces. 3or4 AAA players at best 3or4 AA players the rest should be playing single "a" or house league. Coach has a great heart and loves to teach the game but sees talent no one else sees.

In my mind the ultimate litmus test for any coach is their history...do players stay with him? Good coaches are so hard to find these days, notwithstanding the obvious players that move up to the Marlies of the world, you should always look at the coaches history focusing in on watching practices, bench management in games, and ultimately how many kids a year are turned over......then make up your mind.

No the team isn't big as I saw them play last week. The 1 tall kid can't stand up and doesn't like to pass the other one skates pretty fast but has no clue how to play hockey. With out the puck very lazy.

Why do loser clarington parents keep bringing up the three kids that left. The parents never talk about the toro team or why they left. just because your record is as bad as ours just have fun because the kids that left are having lots of fun with there new teammates.

Don't be so hard on yourself titans sucked last year and will keep on sucking until you can get a coach that can pull in some talented kids. Why do you think 10 or 11 kids left from last year. YA your right its because of the coach. You should drop down to single A you might compete there. Just a thought.

Perhaps less skilled then most teams they always put out a good effort.

...such a shame as they had some history behind them and now until the coach goes they will not attract any good talent - unless they have a very thick skin. Being where they are in the standings they could probably attract some decent kids from AA and maybe one or two from other AAA teams that would give them some hope to finish higher in the standings.

As parents when you watch your kids play good teams can't you see that your kids are not AAA players and all you are doing is hurting them by not letting them play at a level they would enjoy playing at. Try sitting down with them tell them you won't get mad and ask if they would rather play at there level rather than them living your dream of playing at an elite level.
JUST A THOUGHT!

Jim is doing as good as any coach would be able to do with the talent he has. He is not God and trying to coach single A players to become AAA players ain't an easy task. Hes tried to convert his own kid into a AAA player without any success for a few years. As long as single A parents are willing to spend the big dollars to try and get there kids to play at this level there will always be a triple a coach there to take there money.

Fine, but in the last 3 years he has driven away lots of AAA kids based on his antics. Sprinkled throughout the league on all the teams are very good players who could have formed a strong team for this org, except they placed their loyalty in the wrong person.

Understand the entire picture before you make excuses.

I have looked at the entire picture and I agree with you. JP has made some kids into talented players and have moved on to better teams because of antics. Maybe the organization should look at him as a development trainer rather than a head coach then maybe this age group for the titans organization may get back on track with the right guy behind the bench.

Ask yourself why these kids left the organization though.....to me, that is one of the key things the org shoudl be reviewing each year they decide on next year's coaches....know this, good players as a rule do NOT leave good coaches and good orgs, and certainly not in the numbers that has been witnessed under this guy. Nuff said!

I do agree with you that each coach should be reviewed each year not only on the titans but all GTHL teams. These coaches get paid alot of money and some coaches do deserve the money they get for there time and coaching knowledge of the game. Alot of kids from the GTHL go to the JR level because of good coaches and good systems but at the same time the kids have to want it to. You can't teach heart but coaches can teach the skill they need to move to the next level, again it comes down to the kids wanting to be taught and the right coach to get the skills out of the kids. We all know that every kid will not make the next level but as a parent its nice to know that the money we spend on them learning the game didn't go to waste
