Firstly welcome! I'm so so sorry you have needed to search us out but so very glad that you found us!!
I agree with b on this that getting the right therapist for your daughter is CRUCIAL! If she is acting out you do not want her to continue that behavior. How devastating that must be for her. She needs the tools to learn how to recognize when she is "feeling the feelings" and how she can stop them. And therapy is KEY to that! My little one has developed that through play therapy...she will tell you when/if she has any thoughts and is able to deal with them in a healthy way!!! I was so proud of her when she was able to voice it instead of act out!
Having little ones that are victims is so difficult at times. How do you explain to a 4,5,6 year old that it's not OK to do the things that they were taught? How do you explain the complications of what has happened...the complexities of an abuse situation? The physical, mental and emotional? It's just not something I was prepared for and I don't think any of us are EVER prepared for. That's why I am forever grateful for our therapist...amazing! So please...find a therapist for your little babe. It's the best gift you can give her.
Hugs momma and hang in there. You are not alone,
Bree :)
