A hymen can grow back to normal at their age, I have been told by the Dr. The hyman being misshaped, along with scarring, doesn't prove anything. My D had a 3/4in 'erosion/scar' at her 12 0'clock perianal position at 18 months... meant nothing to anyone. An exam will just drive you nuts when they find something and can't do anything about it... but if it makes you sleep better then do it.
