Tomorrow is Sentencing day for my daughter's case, finally. Hopefully we will get an outcome that we can live with and he goes to jail for some time, he will have to register as a sex offender regardless of the outcome of the sentencing. My precious and courageous daughter, has decided to read her Victim's Impact Statement to the judge, herself (remember she is only 11). She wants to tell the judge her feelings in person and not just hand her statement in paper. I have not read her statement, she has not allowed me to do it, so I am scared and nervous for her, but I know she will make us proud. I will be bringing a big box of kleenex with me, I am one of those persons that cries for everything and I know my emotional state is going to be out there tomorrow, just thinking about it now it brings me to tears.
I know and strongly believe that my daughter's decision to read her statement, instead of just handing it over has to do with her trying to have some closure to this nightmare, and hopefully when is over she will be able to move forward completely and if not forget at least in time, forgive. Thank you to all of you for your support.
I do not know if I will be able to check with you guys until Monday, I will try my best to come this weekend, but not sure. Please pray for a good outcome and I will definitely let you know what transparent in the very nearly future.
