I'm so sorry you are going thru this, but glad you came here for support. Has this been reported to CPS or police? If not, it should be. It allows a process to start where your stepdaughter and any other victims are able to get counseling thru the victims of crime compensation office in your state, and will stop the offender from abusing if he still is. You may want to go online and look up the child sex abuse laws in your state. What a tough situation this is for everyone, but you need to make sure you are following any reporting laws in your state since there are minors involved; you don't want to find yourself being charged with failure to report or failure to protect if any abuse comes out in the future. Also, a good book for preteens/teens and their families is How Long Does It Hurt by Cynthia Mather. It's very comprehensive and educational, and it really helped us all alot. The focus should be supporting the victim(s), and getting help to start healing. Alot of the time, allowing the law to do their job is also part of the healing. The offender can also get help thru it. I hope this helps, my heart goes out to you all.
