My daughter saw her Dr for the last time before going away to college in 3 weeks. We have decided that she needed something for her anxiety. She has decided that she wants to get off the Viibyrd (anti-depressant). So he suggested weaning her off of that in the next few weeks and added in the Buspar for the anxiety. It is suppose to be a good drug ,it has been around a long time he said and used a lot for children and elderly people. It also doesn't have any potential for addiction which is good.
We have suggested that she make an appointment at the wellness center (they have an MD there who can prescribe meds) when she gets to school and to look for a counselor. It is a leap of faith to let her go but I know in my heart she needs to get away from here. I am going to miss her. She is my youngest and it is really hard to let go especially when she has been thru so much in the past 3 yrs. I have to believe that she has that surivior quality in her like her mom. Getting away from home was one of the best things that I ever did for myself. My birthday is coming up and I am asking for a God box. ( A box that you can write down on a piece of paper what is troubling you and then just put it in the God box) Recently I had to just give it to God because I just couldn't worry about it or be angry about it anymore. Worked wonderfully. Why didn't I do that along time ago? LOL! I have always been stubborn like that believing that I could do everything on my own. I have learned that we are meant to reach out to God and to others. None of us were meant to be islands. Laura
